Не одномоментно, конечно. Лава бывала едреная (жидкая), успевала доплыть 300 миль до океана, прежде чем застыть.
а при людях были missoula floods, когда всю почву смыло в Орегон.
Или из недавнего, Bonneville landslide, which created a natural dam on the Columbia River, is believed to have occurred around 1450, possibly linked to a significant earthquake. This event formed a dam approximately 200 feet high and 3.5 miles long, which eventually breached, leading to the creation of the Cascades Rapids
